Time Together Matters!

I saw this cute box pop-up card and thought, "Hey, if I like this card then my two (2) other subscribers would like this too!"

This tutorial is from Buffalo Stamps "...unique rubber stamping and scrap-booking store that is jammed packed with all the latest and greatest in the industry...."

Check out this cute blog-site; EVERYDAY MATTERS!  They have cute ideas.

A Great Tradition - Reading to our children and letting them read to us!

Try to maintain the family closeness that seems so evasive as our kids start growing/getting older - remember that the clock keeps ticking.

Planning a family night takes effort, but the payoff is well worth the time!

It places a strong value on time together, and in itself is a lesson to the whole family, "time together matters!". Build some "traditions" that will help keep your family close. Looking back on family night will be a great memory for everyone. Not to mention the impact it will have today, to bring your family in a little closer and enjoy each others company now, while you are all under the same roof. Your family will remember these traditions that kept you close. And they will probably plan those kinds of family nights for their families in the future ;)

Pills Pills and more Pills!

DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS WAY?  Most people know that I have some existing health issues.

My dear friend refereed me to one of her doctors. A new approach to the medical care I am already receiving. I made my appointment with Rockford Wellness & Diagnostic Center (Rockford, IL) with Dr. Kim (Kimberly Osborne, DC).  I had a consultant for one hour and I found her to be thoughtful, knowledgeable, and confident.  Dr. Kim took a more holistic look at me and I feel that she truly is aiming at me as a "whole person."  She ordered some tests (saliva and blood).  And now...LOL... I have more pills to take! at least they are natural remedies.

Seems that along with fibromyalgia, arthritis, (ect. ect. ect.) am also have lupus, high cholesterol and tri-glycerides and glucose (low in Vitamin D & B12, low AST & ALT, low red blood cell count and hemoglobin and hematocrit (anemic), lupus (ANA Screne IFA: positive), endometriosis, low  ANA pattern & ANA  titter (immunities), cortisol load is high between 4pm and 5pm (stress) and a good candidate for breast and ovarian cancer!  WOW my original list was already long as it was.

ANYONE HAVE SOME RECIPES W/O THESE INGREDIENTS...

Dr. Kim said that I have some food sensitivities too...to the foods I really like.  Pinto bean, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, swiss cheese, egg white, cows' milk, safflower, baker's yeast, red bean, red beet, casein, blue cheese, cranberry, oyster, cayenne pepper, rabbit (I am going to assume that this includes squirrel too), radish, vanilla bean, banana, basil, clam, eggplant, gluten, lettuce, pear, black pepper, tomato, turkey, watermelon, wheat, mango, radish, thyme, and trout.

I've been noticing more pain in my lower back these past months (I've had neck and back surgeries). Ergo, I had a MRI done.

My internal medicine doctor, Dr. Peter Phelan MD, read the results of the MRI that I had done on my lower back.  The MRI showed that my back showed more degeneration along with more arthritis.  Dr. Phelan said to contact my insurance to see what specialist were acceptable and to see if the insurance would also cover a sleep study.

My sleep study is scheduled January 2012...
Don't I sound like a hypochondriac! ... but I'm really not.  I just won the gene pool of "stuff."

Well it's a good thing I believe that God doesn't give us anymore than we can handle WITH HIS HELP. We have to trust in Him. Then, He helps us get through anything!

The promise that is given in the Bible is: “God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it.”   1 Corinthians 10:13.

Yes, no matter how great the temptation or trial may be, God will make it possible for his servants to endure it faithfully.

"Always rejoice in [the] Lord. Once more I will say, Rejoice! Let YOUR reasonableness become known to all men. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus."   Philippians 4:4-7

Looking for some more paper crafting sites...well here you go...

Yesterday I talked about a magazine that I am getting from the UK...  I also wanted to mention a magazine that has some really beautiful designs in it.  The magazine Parchment Craft Magazine. I also see mentioned a magazine - Hobbyjournall (Dutch).  I've seen them both on-line; but have not gotten a prescription as of yet.

Hobbyjournall is full of great card making ideas, including stitching patterns by designers such as Ann, Chrissie and Sjaak, Beading designs Iris folding and much, much more.  Even though this magazine is written in Dutch, the stitching patterns and various templates (with many coloured pictures) are sufficient to enable you to make many of the beautiful cards.

World-newspapers - craft magazines has quite a lot of magazines to consider such as All American Crafts Publishing, Inc. and they carry Paper Creations....   Get inspired!  HERE are a few projects from Paper Creations and ideas to get you started.  Each project comes with complete instructions and material list.
There is so much to see if you surf the Internet!  So take some downtown and have some FUN jumping from one site to nother...you might even make some web-friends!   Who  knows what you or I might discover...

The Crafters Fair Online

Activity Village

I listed "Activity Village" because I use a lot of coloring pages for my paper piecing patterns...you just need to let your imagination flow.  If you are making a child's card...include a maze or some other paper game. Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy...I always say that when it comes to art/crafts there are no mistakes!  just new opportunities to do something a different way.  My biggest "soap box" is that we need to teach our children crafts/art!!!  It is so important for brain development, hand-eye coordination and so forth.  The Artsz.org has a great list of 20 reasons why art is import to children.

I think taking a good class is important too.  Classes are nice for hands-on and if you have questions.  Classes are also a great time to gather with friends or make new ones.  One always comes out feeling a sense of accomplishment after taking a class.  There are so many out there so choose wisely!  Or perhaps you could gather up some of your friends and have a class - every one takes a turn at teaching something.  What fun...of course, you would need to bring in some yummy treats too!

Has anyone looked at Hulu yet?...I just might have to check it out; it might become another new venue of inspiration!

'til next time,

1 Corinthians 6:19-20   Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
