Bindi & Derek's Contemporary - Dancing With The Stars

I am a big fan of Steve Irwin and even after he has passed on (9 years) I will remain one of his fans. I look forward to seeing 'Bindi' grow up. This is a loving tribute to her father. It was great to see her mother and brother in the audience too.

Please take time and watch this beautifully done tribute dance.

Partial Retiform by Gina K

It's been a while...:( sorry about that!

I got this link in my email today and really enjoyed it. I hope you do too!

I've been dealing with some health issues and taking care of my father-in-law (Grand-boys and Grand-puppies too). My energy level has been low - this is my biggest challenge as well as dealing with pain levels. On a positive note I did lose about 75 pounds and am holding steady. I still need to lose at least another 50 pounds...I know I can do it. We are going to the Florida Keys again and this year I am going to bring a pirate suite. I made a good friend down there and she wants to dress up too! So I have been researching ideas on Pinterest...yes, I am a Pinterest junkie. Please feel free to go to my page and 'pin' as many ideas as you like: https://www.pinterest.com/durandconnie/

I been doing Stampin' Up! card class at my friends every other month. She is a demonstrator (Jeannie Field Brinkmeier). We make about 5 cards and sometimes a 'non-card'...we have lunch together and then start placing our orders. Each one of use take a month so we can earn extra's. Jeannie can be found on Facebook and under the Stampin' Up! site.

My craft room has really gotten worse...WOW is a great way to describe it. It is not organized. I have no clue to what I 'really' own and what I need. I even find that I buy duplicates! I'm going to have to break down and ask for help. After my last 3 surgeries (one year ago) I am having a hard time with my memory and focus. I can only pray that it will get better. I really want to use my room and create. I believe that if I can do this my 'memory' process would improve. Art is therapeutic and helps stimulate the brain.

Hugs to all of you who come to this blog. I'm not consistent but I wish I was :D

Oh, I actually am making a date nut cinnamon cake (similar to what my mother-in-law use to make).

A Letter From God To You

You may not know me, but I know everything about you (Psalm 139:1)

I know when you sit down and when you rise up (Psalm 139:2)

I am familiar with all your ways (Psalm 139:3)

Even the very hairs on your head are numbered (Matthew 10:29-31)

For you were made in my image (Genesis 1:27)

In me you live and move and have your being (Acts 17:28)

For you are my offspring (Acts 17:28)

I knew you even before you were conceived (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

I chose you when I planned creation (Ephesians 1:11-12)

You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book (Psalm 139:15-16)

I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live (Acts 17:26)

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)

I knit you together in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13)

And brought you forth on the day you were born (Psalm 71:6)

I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me (John 8:41-44)

I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love (1 John 4:16)

And it is my desire to lavish my love on you (1 John 3:1)

Simply because you are my child and I am your Father (1 John 3:1)

I offer you more than your earthly father ever could (Matthew 7:11)

For I am the perfect father (Matthew 5:48)

Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand (James 1:17)

For I am your provider and I meet all your needs (Matthew 6:31-33)

My plan for your future has always been filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11)

Because I love you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)

My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore (Psalms 139:17-18)

And I rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17)

I will never stop doing good to you (Jeremiah 32:40)

For you are my treasured possession (Exodus 19:5)

I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul (Jeremiah 32:41)

And I want to show you great and marvellous things (Jeremiah 33:3)

If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me (Deuteronomy 4:29)

Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)

For it is I who gave you those desires (Philippians 2:13)

I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine (Ephesians 3:20)

For I am your greatest encourager (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)

I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you (Psalm 34:18)

As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart (Isaiah 40:11)

One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes (Revelation 21:3-4)

And I'll take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth (Revelation 21:3-4)

I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus (John 17:23)

For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed (John 17:26)

He is the exact representation of my being (Hebrews 1:3)

He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you (Romans 8:31)

And to tell you that I am not counting your sins (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you (1 John 4:10)

I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love (Romans 8:31-32)

If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me (1 John 2:23)

And nothing will ever separate you from my love again (Romans 8:38-39)

Come home and I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen (Luke 15:7)

I have always been Father, and will always be Father (Ephesians 3:14-15)

My question is, Will you be my child? (John 1:12-13)

I am waiting for you (Luke 15:11-32)

Jesus' Love Letter

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love you and care about you.

I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping you would walk and talk with me also. As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you. Then I waited, but you never came. O yes, it hurt me, but I still love you because I am your friend. I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and your face ...

Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you. You awakened late this morning and rushed off for the day. My tears were in the rain.

Today you looked so sad, so alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down and hurt me many times but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves and trees and breathe it in the colours of the flowers. I whisper it to you in the mountain streams and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than the oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you could ever have.

We will spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on earth. I really know because I was there and I want to help you. My Father wants to help you, too. He's that way, you know. Just call me, ask me, talk to me. It is your decision. I have chosen you and because of this I will wait. Because I love you.

Your Friend,  JESUS

Sticker Storage

I recently read an article by Anna Lyons called "3 Things You MUST Know About Using Scrapbooking Stickers" - I wanted to share point #3 with you because it was something that I haven't thought of yet:)

Anna Lyons #3:  Chances are as you purchase scrapbooking stickers, you won’t be using an entire package of stickers in one setting.  To keep stickers from getting lost in the midst of scraps or getting bent, organize your stickers.  Purchase a large binder, 8.5″x11″ card stock, dividers and plastic page protectors.  Label your dividers with broad categories such as animals, sports, family, phrases, etc.  Then sort your stickers according to these categories.  Remove the wrappings from any stickers that are still in packages.

Beginning with your first category, use 2-sided tape (the non-permanent type) and adhere two or more pages of the stickers to one side of a piece of the card stock.  Just use one piece of tape to help keep the page of stickers from slipping around.  Do the same thing on the backside of the card stock.  Then place the card stock into a protector sleeve and place it in the binder.  Continue to do this until all of the stickers have been placed in the binder.

Now, each time you want to scrapbook, your scrapbooking stickers will be easily accessible.  You’ll discover that by taking the time to get organized that you won’t be wasting stickers or running to the store to purchase more stickers because you can’t find the ones you already have.

If you are interested in tips like this please visit her site.

Just keep in mind that she is trying to sell her video ;) and one must enter their email address to gain access to her introduction video and to receive email tips from Anna Lyons.

I have been really busy of late, ergo, not many entries. Please remember that I have a second blog (made by accident and wish I could merge with this one, but I don't know how...ha ha ha).

I have had back and neck surgery and I watch my grandsons. I'm the back-up babysitter when they get sick. I've been extremely tired also.

I've also been on Pinterest too. It is addicting. If you want to find my page look for Connie Kahl. I have a lot of papercrafting ideas and other things too. In fact, I have a 'lot' of other things...lol.  It is addicting.

My twin and I will be turning 50 this month! I found this on Facebook and found it cute.
